Porter Maxxi Differential Disassembly
Position the rear axle on the specific support. to be able to orient it correctly in the various phases of disassembly, assembly and adjustment.
remove the oil drain plug and empty the differential support completely
remove the screws of the differential support cover and the sealing gasket
mark the references on both sides to facilitate the correct reassembly of the jumpers
mark the coupling between the Differential box and Crown
unscrew the 8 axle shaft screws and screw 2 of them back into the non-passing threaded holes to extract the axle shaft; repeat the operation also on the other side.
tighten the 2 screws until the semi-axis comes out
remove the drive shaft by hand
extract the differential box.
remove the differential case from the differential mount.
differential box complete with bearings, outer races and ring shims for adjusting the bevel gear play
