10 simple steps to Disassemble the Spark Plugs on your Piaggio Porter Multitech
Disassembly
1 - Disconnect the negative pole clamp from the battery.
2 - Access the driver's side engine compartment. Cut the conduit retaining clip from the rail assembly bracket.
3 - Disconnect the electro-injector connectors.
4 - Disconnect the gas pressure/temperature sensor from the rail unit.
5 - Undo the screw (one of the two) fixing the rail unit to the tappet cover.
6 - Undo the second screw fastening the rail unit to the tappet cover.
7 - Lift the rail unit to access the coil; disconnect the electrical connector from the coil by releasing the retaining clip.
8 - Undo the coil fixing screw .
9 - Carefully remove the spark plug cap and visually inspect it for wear.
10 - Unscrew the spark plug with the appropriate spanner, check its wear and tear and replace it if necessary or as indicated in the scheduled maintenance table.
Check the distance between the electrodes.
Electrode distance
0.8 ÷ 0.9 mm
